The 20-year-old was a student in college. He was in a car with some friends when an accident occurred. Although conscious when he arrived at the hospital, his health quickly worsened. He had a heart attack and suffered brain damage and is in a coma.
The young man’s student visa is set to run out soon. The hospital is currently making arrangements to transport him back to Pakistan, via medical transport. The family of the student is adamant that moving him back to Pakistan in his condition will significantly imperil his health and possibly lead to his death, particularly given the level of care he would receive there. There are also insurance issues with his student visa status.
